Cucumber chaat is a refreshing and flavorful Indian street food salad made with cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, and a variety of spices. It’s a healthy and delicious snack that’s perfect for any time of day.

Directions

  • Peel the cucumbers and slice them in half vertically. Remove the seeds from the center and set the halves aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped onions, tomatoes, and the scooped-out inner part of the cucumbers.
  • Add the chopped green chilies to the bowl.
  • Season the mixture with salt, black pepper powder, chaat masala, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  • Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until the filling is well combined.
  • Spoon the filling back into the hollowed-out cucumber halves.
  • Generously top each filled cucumber with namkeen sev and sprinkle chopped cilantro over them for garnish.

  • Namkeen sev, for topping

  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • Red chili powder (optional)
  • Cilantro (coriander leaves), chopped for garnish
